COMMENTS: Earplugs in.
PRELIMINARY EVENTS
Prayed to Archangel Michael (circa 11:49 AM); asked him to visit me in my dreams. Woke at 12:59 PM then back to bed at 1:49.
ACCOUNT (edited)
Segment 1
OBSERVING. It's daytime, and I'm looking for someplace. I come across a group of white-skinned Indian women. The leader of these women is tall with dark hair, wearing a black dress of A-line style with a Peter Pan-like collar. She is responsible for protecting the community when their husbands are at work or away. A woman tells her something, shows her a piece of white paper. Whatever it is makes the leader suspicious, concerned.
A few moments later, I show the leader my notebook and what I'd been writing. I think I ask her where to find some location.
Segment 2
PARTICIPATING and OBSERVING. I can see the women with me in front of them, walking along a wide dirt path with an orange dirt field to our left. The path is quite long, and I've no idea where we're headed, but the women are walking briskly, and seem to be happy, the hems of their white petticoats showing under their dresses (19th century?--same style of the leaders, only some in color like light melon and light ocean blue). They are in modern enough dresses--A-line style and white petticoats. The leader is yards ahead of us and is of a quiet, subdued demeanor. I rush to join the leader to her right.
Segment 3
PARTICIPATING or OBSERVING. Now the women and the leader are behind me. I don't see them or hear them, only see that I'm standing inside a gate entrance and am looking across the front yard of a gray house that's to the far right almost out of view. Straight ahead about eight feet, is a long horizontal fence with a gray central gate that opens out onto the sidewalk of a wealthy neighborhood. Before the gate is a waist high, large gray, metal cylinder (about 2.5 to 3 feet in diameter) with beige or pale gold accents. To the right of this cylinder object is a rectangular fax machine-like object (same color as cylinder) mounted somehow next to the stairs of the house. There is lively green shrubbery in the yard, especially in the center, forcing a path to the left (and right?).
I recognize the yard as one I had visited before. I say, "I dreamed of this before. The last time was yesterday." I also know the neighborhood beyond the gate is one I've visited on prior occasions.
Segment 4
OBSERVING. We've crossed the garden, went out out through the gate and onto the sidewalk. We eventually end up in an okay lit stairwell. I see the women rush up the stairs, but the leader is missing. I see a woman with short cut sandy blond hair and a dress similar to the leader's. She looks up at me then continues up the stairs (at least two flights).
PARTICIPATING. I'm now walking up the stair then crouch down, knowing I can see the outside beyond the back of the stairs. What I see is the corner a mini mall[1] surfaced in dark taupe-like gray metal with horizontal ridges at the top and shaded windows of similar color. At the very top, center left, is the name of the store which is "TIME" in medium yellow capital letters (Times New Roman font). I say, "That's the store I was looking for."
I raise and continue up the stairs.
Almost at the top of the staircase to the left is a brown-skinned woman of Haitian (or Caribbean) descent. She has her head down and I know she is too afraid to step onto the last stair which will put her on the top landing where there is a medium pink and red speckled door that looks (and I know it to be) ancient. To the immediate left of the door is an old-fashioned cylinder object (can't recreate the image)--a sort of curved or spiral appendage. I recognize the door as one I'd seen a few times before; the memory of it instills fear in me because others who have tried to reach it have injured themselves, and/or have not succeeded.
Behind me, the women are shouting to her words of encouragement. I say to her, "You're going to miss your train!" Until then I had no idea where we were, that we were at a "station" of some sort.
The goal is to get her--all of us through the door. The problem is that the final stair is a trick step that moves when you step on it and could potentially plunge a person to their death. I try to coax her, to support her to take that final step. She does try and when she raises her foot and steps on the stair, the top of it swings out toward us on the right side about four inches, and this action fills her with renewed panic. The step is bright yellow with a narrow black, rubber tread at the top front edge (2" height and 1" depth) with horizontal ridging.
I (grab her arm?) and push or kick the stair back into place.
The coaxing having failed somewhat, I grab something to my right for leverage and take that final step to the landing. I find I'm too far to the right and in the wrong position (need to be in the center where the door is) to pull the door open without my being in it's path. So I step to the left and am now right in front of the door. Straight after, I hear the women behind me rush up the remaining steps, passing me and gathering on the landing (I don't actually see them). As they do, I reach back for the woman and take her arm to help her onto the landing. There is a feeling of something gone wrong, a strong disturbance where she was standing. She's disappeared and I surmise she may have fallen in a space to the far left of the staircase banister (the landing seems to be nonexistent on the far left). There is an atmosphere of fearful expectation as I stand and stare at the door. I reach out to open it, then I wake up.

Leader, long dirt path, garden, gates, stairwell, stairs, transformation (Indian into Caribbean), final stair / final step, trick stair, fear, door.
I'm going to analyze some, if not all, of the symbols, giving my impression of the possible literal and symbolic meaning of the symbols as they pertain to my life or of those around me.
LITERAL INTERPRETATIONS
Parts of this dream feels to be astral in nature where locations in the dream appear to be familiar to the observing and/or participating self. These include:
[1] the garden area (relates to a previous dream and a previous visit, neither of which were remembered in waking life)
[2] the neighborhood beyond the garden (although not seen, I knew what was beyond the garden which points to some level of foreknowledge or familiarity)
[3] the store named TIME (there was a feeling of familiarity)
[4] the door (dream familiarity and knowledge of an object not remembered in waking life)
Another consideration is that parts of the dream may hold past life associations:
[1] the Indian women (including the leader, could point to lifetimes in India)
[2] Indian women transforming into Caribbean black women (could point to a past life in both India and the Caribbean)
[3] 19th century A-line dress fashion w/Peter Pan collar (could point to a past life in 19th century America, since this is fashion popular around that time AND I've had other dreams where similar fashion has shown up.
There is also the possibility of interaction between my superconscious and conscious self. Such as:
[1] the leader (the Superconscious itself)
[2] the women (both races--aspects of self)
[3] garden (the soul or spirit of self)
[4] the door (entrance into Superconscious--aka Oversoul--)
SYMBOLIC INTERPRETATIONS
LEADER --- the Superconscious (SC). The SC is that part of self that knows all and has awareness of past lives, astral journeys, knowledge of God, etc. [The Superconscious may be the same as the Oversoul, Soul, and Spirit. SC May be the location and door to the Akashic Records that some believe lies within us.] In this dream, the leader may be a personification of the Superconscious which is trying to communicate the core meaning of the dream. (See MAIN MESSAGE.) Could also be a gate-keeper or a Guide leading me along the path to greener pastures and/or to higher knowledge.
INDIAN WOMEN --- may have a past life association. Aspects of self as a support team.
CARIBBEAN WOMEN --- may have a past life association. Aspects of self as a support team.
WIVES --- aspects of self. A marriage of some sort, possibly a personification of aspects or abilities that work together (community). Support team.
BLACK DRESS --- the unknown, death, or change. What one is wearing and seen by others. That which hides parts of self.
A-LINE DRESSES --- the words "a line"? A past life fragment.
LONG DIRT PATH --- The journey of my life at present. To me, a dirt path is that which is void of water and greenery--both vestiges of the spirit--awaiting nourishment in the form of water and attention. This symbol likely denotes my waking perceptions about my life and how pointless and without purpose it seems. Also, a path is usually bordered by something. Take note of what bordered either side of the path:
Thus, to the left was a wide open field that spread out wider as the path continued. What was to the right isn't remembered, which makes the left side the default focus.
ORANGE --- a degree of occult (hidden) knowledge. The deeper the orange the more depth of occult knowledge one possesses or needs to acquire.
ORANGE DIRT FIELD --- Available space. Perhaps occult knowledge (orange) in need of expansion (field). Open lots are space available to build upon and to expand already present structures. Since the field was to the left, this symbol may be a comment on occult (psychic) ability that has yet (left) to be expanded. Also, FIELD could represent my choice of skill, ability, talent, or job position as in "What field are you in?"
WEALTHY NEIGHBORHOOD --- a richer area of my life that I may be entering into. Or an improvement of my financial status.
GATE / ENTRANCE 1 (into garden) --- at the threshold of something previously glimpsed or desired (I saw this garden before). Since I was standing in the opening of the first gate, and was observing, this dream action could represent that I'm at a standstill for the present time but am being shown what lies just ahead.
Take note of what was seen from gate 1:
[1] FRONT YARD / GARDEN with lively shrubbery may denote Greener pastures straight ahead. Perhaps the garden of the soul;
[2] GATE / ENTRANCE 2 (out of garden) --- an entrance into what lies ahead. Because reaching that point requires moving forward, the second gate represents what lies ahead in the near future. Note that this gate leads to a wealthy neighborhood, and thus may denote a way by which to enter a state of financial improvement;
[3] CYLINDER OBJECT not sure what it represents;
[4] FAX MACHINE may denote (spiritual?) communication because it is used for purposes of providing and receiving information (I did have a dream of a phone call that seemed to be from someone that may now be deceased);
[5] GRAY HOUSE is a potential state of health in my future but not yet an absolute (grayed, almost not seen).
STAIRWELL --- a transition
STAIRS --- since I was going up, a transition to a higher state of consciousness or other fixture of life.
CROUCHING --- peeking into the subconscious (denoted by the lower position). Note what was seen:
[1] STORE --- where one purchases what is needed or desired.
[2] STORE NAME (TIME) --- literal. A period of time that the transition dictates.
[3] YELLOW --- a derivative of fear since yellow once represented cowardice and fear. Currently in my life, I feel that I have wasted time in the prime of my youth, and that my life has been a waste. I fear that I'll be poor for the remaining years of my life despite my efforts which have so far been failures.
[4] STORE NAME FONT: TIMES NEW ROMAN note the word "Time" repeats. This is part of the dream message: Time and fear.
TRANSFORMATION OF WOMEN (INDIAN INTO CARIBBEAN) --- change, transformation, and transition in motion (since the women changed race while heading upstairs). Have not determined the interpretation of the ethnicities.
MISSING LEADER --- this likely denotes that whatever the leader represented, her job was completed because she had led me to a higher state (upper level of a stairwell) and was no longer needed.
FINAL STAIR / FINAL STEP --- literal. I may be approaching a final phase of some situation, but I am now, essentially, the leader with aspects of self joining me (the women reaching the landing with me yet not seen) to create a stronger whole.
TRICK STAIR --- literal. A tricky step to navigate in order to reach a goal or opportunity.
FEAR --- literal. Fear immobilizes me or someone, preventing attainment of a higher evolution or state of circumstance.
WOMAN AFRAID TO TAKE THAT FINAL STEP --- could be me or someone that needs assistance. May be a comment on a final step needed to accomplish or help another person accomplish.
PINK AND RED SPECKLES --- represents love and energy, perhaps, but not sure what the color of the door represents.
DOOR --- point of transition and/or opportunity. CLOSED/LOCKED: not accessible or available. Not open to you. OPEN: available now. If you enter, you accept some change in circumstance or in your life. TRYING OR PREPARING TO OPEN: getting to a point where I am ready for some opportunity or change that can be physical or spiritual. FAILURE TO OPEN: missed opportunity. Not ready. Note how difficult it is to reach the door: That will be a comment on your struggle to attain some goal. Did your open the door? If not, you are at the door of some opportunity.
ANCIENT DOOR old ways or skills. Ancient opportunity or knowledge. Since I was familiar with the step and door, may be that I'm being shown something I've previously experienced, perhaps in a previous life.
LEFT SIDE --- the past, but can be that which is brewing but has not entered my sphere of awareness. Something that is waiting in the wings. Also, that which has not come to pass or has not been utilized.
RIGHT SIDE --- the future. FAR RIGHT: That which is possible but not yet available.
FORWARD --- moving forward--what one is doing, should do, or will soon do. In motion. Objects and action that are before you may denote the near future. How soon something will occur depends on how far away something is from your current position.
BEHIND --- a supportive role. "We have your back," "I'm behind you."
IN FRONT --- the present time or the very near future. Also, taking a leadership position.
MAIN DREAM MESSAGE(S)
I will encounter a person who will be a guide or mentor and will be able to lead me to a point of financial improvement which in turn will provide an opportunity for me to incorporate talents/abilities (aspects of self--the women) that could lead me to a position of even greater opportunity or level of growth. This final opportunity could be spiritually-related.
